concerned neighbor, Take
it eary & keep on cyclin'
P.S. Loved "Voice of Da"-my reading material on the way back to Toronto. Kept me sane during our crazy flight back. Oh yeah, & did I tell you how much I love your city & the whole SF cyclin' gang? You guys are amazing-we ALL had so much fun. Thank all those involved for us Torontoites. CANADA LOVES SF! Bye. America: Enclosed is a dull article from a DC cycling mag. I still generally don't like messengers in DC. I've met one who was very relaxed, had a masters degree and was very mellow. Another was an acid head but also very peaceful although he didn't seem too bright. The other have been cokeheads or worse with bad tempers and all seemed to be very paranoid and unfriendly. SF messengers all seem to have a better sense of community, were more peaceful, and managed to be quite functional people, no matter how much substance abuse was going on. I don't know. I'm sure you've seen some bad scenes but people in SF just seemed less fucked up. I really want a Team Glue t-shirt!!! I lost, or rather, maybe someone stole my Afghan bike messenger t-shirt. Howard had sold it to me off his back. There was an article on him and his work in Details magazine a few months ago. Voice of Da is great!! Are Aero bikes still big heavy monstrosities? Who did Jason marry? I liked your poem and picture in the back. It's going on my wall at work... Thanks again for the zine. Keep in touch. Love, Messenger: 1. Please go to Dept. of Public Health, Vital Statistics to pick-up birth certificate. 2. The certificate has been prepared but you need to fill out a short request form with the following info. 3. Contact person at Vital Statistics "Dana." 4. Enclosed is a total of $31.50 cash itemized as follows: $13.00=cost of birth certificate. $18.50=messenger charge. 5. Return certificate and receipt. Thank
