We were disappointed to not be able to make it to the Jumpinships in Columbus so this week featured the first annual Hillbuilder alleycat in scenic Norman Oklahoma. For a last minute event (literally), we were pleased to pull in messengers from SF and Tulsa and non- and retired- messengers from Wisconsin, Nebraska, Louisiana for the big event. We had the "world welcome" party in Muskogee, OK, where most of us went to see Merle (Okie from Muskogee) Haggard in concert and then got into a fight with Muskogee rednecks. Messengers 1-Rednecks 0.
Oklahoma
- come for Merle Haggard and stay for the alleycat and brawling. Highlight of
that evening was watching Team Satan's Damon Votour fall in love with one of
the concert goers - you'd not have thought that a devil-worshipper could have
such tender feelings.
Two nights later we had the alleycat around the rural byways of Norman Oklahoma. Sadly, the two couriers from Tulsa won handily and beat all of us local Okies and foreign guests on our own turf. Next year we go to Tulsa and extract revenge!!! We also had a lawyer, a medical student, a state legislator and the Assistant State Capitol Dome Supervisor race as well. The non-messengers took to the concept readily and are talking about doing it in Oklahoma City soon. It's like a virus.
The results are as follows
1- Keisha "Cash"
Register - Tulsa OK
2- Jennifer "Corn Squeezins" Kovar - Tulsa OK
3- Andy "The Bayou Thunderbolt" Saavedra - Tallulah, Louisiana
4- America "Don't Tread on Me" Meredith - Norman OK
5- Dee Wee "Semiquasimodo" Meredith - Oklahoma City
6- Damon "The Oik" Votour - San Francisco
7- Clay "the" Pope - Loyal, Oklahoma
8- Wes "Cornhusker" Glinsmann - Lincoln, Nebraska
DFL- Eric "I'm pissed I lost to a lawyer" Wilson - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
See you next year for more Merle Haggard inspired racing.
