West Coast Invite - Portland OR

I missed the first half of the festivities but still enjoyed seeing some of my favorite bummies from SF and Seattle. I don't think anyone from Vancouver showed -- it was apparently a Canadian-free event. NY, surprisingly, represented. Josh, a local, took first place. The qualifying races were enormous circles round the city, then those lucky enough to reach the finals got to race down and up Mount Tabor. Richie SF rode in to the finish line, looking as if he'd biked over every square inch of Portland and expected to be DFL. But during the awards ceremony, right before he was given his prize, Tyler Seattle blew in and gracefully accept the red DFL dress. Thanks to Hazel and Loud Steve Jr. for their fine organizing efforts. -A
