Unfortunately there is a another messenger that died. It is Valerie Zähndler, who was a messenger for more than ten years. She worked with Beamer in Basel and later with Messenger in Berlin.
 
S he died on 21st of march in basel after fighting cancer for two and a half years. She was pretty strong. think her birthday was 18th april 1975.

Not easy to say but Valerie Zähndler died on march 21 after a long time fight against cancer. She was a messenger in Berlin and Basel (Switzerland). Patrick a colleague who was in touch to her the last times is asking for mail to her family. I first met Valerie in Barcelona at the CMWC. She was working at Beamer in Basel back then... We talked a lot about the difference between the small Basel and the big Berlin. I don't remember when she came to Berlin, but when I came back from NYC she was working here, and she was working hard. She also was doin' a lot of work building up a BMA and also a ZINE for the messengers here. I know we were not really that supportive with the whole BerlinBMA thing, but Valerie never gave up. Good to know you Valerie.

Valerie, you made me think about Valerie Zingg, who died also of cancer, last year, also from Switzerland...SAD !!! RIP !!!
