Special T Gets Zapped

Special T bikes and walkers will soon be a thing of the past. The company is splitting in half, with the oil-powered messengers staying under the name of Special T and self-powered messengers operating under the named of Zap Delivery.

Zap will be owned by Chris [Neil], currently the part-time bike dispatcher. He will manage and dispatch full-time.

With the change in ownership and name comes a change in commission, which will plunge to 47%. This drop comes with the increasingly common excuse that radio rental will no longer be charged. Rates will remain the same, but Chris promises discount clients won’t get as large a discount. He also says that raises in the form of higher commission will be awarded for seniority. There will be no layoffs, Chris assures, but hiring will be limited. He admires Special T for not overhiring, as other companies are wont to do.

When approached with the rumor that Aero was buying out Special T, Chris laughed. He denies any possibility of this, explaining that the owner of Special T hates Aero with a passion. Special T, which will have only trucks, cars, motorcycles, and scooters, will run pretty much the same. George [Garcia], currently the bike dispatcher, will continue to work for Special T, dispatching trucks. –A
